We love our Youth here at Westside! We are so thankful for them and our incredible youth leaders who have invested a tremendous amount of time and energy showing the love of Jesus. Scroll down for some quotes and pictures from the last year.

Every Sunday morning grades 6 to 9 hang out in the house behind the Church for teaching games and cookies!

Interview
What have been some of your favourite experiences at youth?
Having such a safe and great community of people allows for so many activities to be so much fun and very impactful on my life. Games, especially 9 square is always so fun as well as discussions I have had with my small group and just every week being surrounded by a wonderful and accepting Jesus centred community!
What have you learned about Jesus while being at Illuminate?
At youth I have learned a lot about the character of God and who Jesus is. Jesus is for us and truly, deeply cares for us. He wants a relationship with us and life is so much better with Jesus.
What have been some of your favorite moments with your leaders?
Every week just the care I feel from the leaders who take the time and put in the effort to talk to me and ask about my week and listen to my answer. Being able to have a safe space and feeling safe to ask questions to any leader. And especially sneakily getting help from leaders in games such as trivia to help my team win.
What are some ways you have experienced Gods presence at illuminate?
Through worship and small groups as well as kindness shown to me by others at youth have really spoken measures and shown me a glimpse of God.
Wednesday Nights
Every Wednesday the youth come play games, worship and receive teaching. Such fun nights!
