Dream Centre

The past season at the Calgary Dream Centre has been a full and exciting one! We’ve continued to see anywhere from 3-5 men graduate from our addictions recovery program every week, with a new set of men entering to take their spot. Our community housing program has been growing as well and has gotten some exciting upgrades (more on that later!). Lifechange is why we’re here, and we’ve continued to see God’s favor and hand on the work we do, and for that we are so grateful.  

In early December we were thrilled to celebrate the first anniversary of our social enterprise, Change is Good (CIG). CIG has been a wonderful way to expand our impact in the city, and we are very proud of our team! Our 2023 year was kicked off with a huge hotel move-out project in Canmore, which we called “Moving Mountains”; not only because of the gorgeous scenery, but because the project was going to take a LOT of faith to get done on a tight timeline! The ‘Dream Team’ rallied together to move all the furniture out of a Canmore hotel in just a few short days, and we did it! We got to utilize the furniture to update & bless our community clients. We truly felt God’s goodness as we got to share the ‘overflow’ with Ukrainians in need. February was a big month for our other social enterprise, CDC Woodshop, as they got to participate in the home show at the BMO Centre. It was great exposure for the work that they do; both in terms of woodworking and the life change that happens because of it! 

Last but not least, we have some exciting news to share with you. As of this fall the Calgary Dream Centre will be celebrating our 20th year anniversary! YOU reading this are part of the reason why the Calgary Dream Centre has the honor of celebrating such an incredible milestone.
