That person may be a Christian pastor, but not always. Sometimes we need a qualified counselor who can walk with us for a while. At other times we may be best helped by someone who is simply willing to share our journey with us, a mature Christian who has the heart and time to speak hope and grace into our lives.
At Westside King’s Church, we believe that pastoral care is a function of our entire community, and that there are pastoral gifts both in and outside our paid staff. The secret of a true caring Christian community is found in the diversity and availability of the care we provide.
We invite you to consider the full spectrum of pastoral care resources under these six categories:
1. Connection: you may be looking for perspective or support in any number of ways – we offer direction for meaningful ways to connect in community
2. Counsel: we maintain a list of recommended counselors and community resources – we are happy to direct you to programs and personnel that we trust
3. Crisis: there are times when you don’t know where to turn – family crisis, death, or other kinds of immediate need
4. Conversation: there are times when you might like to have a conversation with one of our pastoral team about issues of life or faith
5. Community Resources: there are times when a mature member of our community may be able to help
6. Clergy: for weddings and funerals, please contact funerals@wkc.org or weddings@wkc.org, or call us at 403.777.0800
If you are in need of personal care or support, or you would like to make an appointment, please do not hesitate to contact us at pastoralcare@wkc.org

For those who would like to volunteer their time in pastoral care – we are extending an invitation for mature and pastorally gifted members of the Westside community to consider an organic and connected form of Christian service. Please contact us at pastoralcare@wkc.org
